WinSCP - Best Free FTP, SFTP, SCP Windows Software Amazon WinSCP is a free Windows software application that provides FTP, SFTP, SCP client functionality.

Its user interface is very user friendly. You can drag and drop your files from your local file system to the remote file system or vice versa. WinSCP supports both password and private key file authentication. So if you are using Amazon EC2 you can use WinSCP to transfer files back and forth from your EC2 server.

As of the time of the writing its internal text editor does not support UTF8 encoded files. To get around this issue simply set the editor to an external editor that support UTF8 such as EditPad Lite and Notepad.
